Welcome to Hallo Haus Studio, your new favourite corner of the internet for all things home, hosting and lifestyle!
We are a mother daughter duo at two different ages & stages of life, with lots of love and some strong opinions for sooo many things! From making sad spaces happy again(!), to throwing the most perfect party, having a lovely day in London, or finding our new fave cafe in our hometown of Edmonton, Canada, we’re excited to share it all with you!
So grab an iced coffee with your mom, daughter, or best gal pal and stay awhile… we’re so happy you’re here!!
Over the last decade, we have been renovating, flipping, and making sad spaces happy again, with our love of home improvement and design starting at home (pun intended!) with Veronica’s haus. She managed and oversaw our first renovation as GC, while Claudia assisted, giving her opinions and filming the whole process! Since then, we’ve done many different projects, everything from condos and offices, to townhomes and new builds.
During Claudia’s townhaus reno cheetah print wallpaper, floral tiles and pink couch garnered some buzz and opinions from our contractors, trades, family and friends… so we’ve decided that her haus and eclectic design style is the perfect first project for us to post on the internet!
We will be sharing all of our transformations from day 1 of the design process to fluffing the last pillow on staging day. From the pretty parts to the messy moments, we’re pulling back the proverbial curtain for you and putting the real in real. life. style. here on our website and over on our youtube channel!

In our opinion, no renovation, refresh, or flip is truly complete without the cherry on top – decor! We believe that your home is an extension of you, and is a direct reflection of your personal style. In Veronica’s transitional haus you will find clean lines, pops of colour, and timeless furnishings, while in Claudia’s maximalist townhaus you will find pink, fun textures, lots of cheetah, and… more pink!
One of our favourite things to practice and preach when it comes to design is filling your space with pieces, furniture, colours and textures you LOVE. On average, we spend around 18 hours a day at home, so feeling at home is a non-negotiable here at Hallo Haus Studio!!
When we aren’t rainbow-tizing books in our libraries, re-styling a floating shelf or setting up festive seasonal decor, you will most likely find us at HomeSense, Michaels, the antique store or HomeDepot sourcing Pinterest worthy items, craft supplies needed, or paint swatches for our next project!
If you’re as obsessed with disco balls, patterned wallpaper, a coloured couch, quirky lamps, ornate anthro *inspired* mirrors, fun side tables, and cutie tchotchkes as we are, we just became best friends, and you have great taste!! 😉
Pop icon Hilary Duff once sang, ‘could be New York, maybe Hollywood and Vine/London, Paris, maybe Tokyo/There’s something going on/Anywhere I go‘ and we couldn’t agree with her more! There is something going on wherever we go and we want to see it ALL! Or, as much as we can… our bucket lists are long!!
My mom instilled a wanderlust in me very early on with family trips to Mexico at 3, Disneyland at 4, Hollywood at 11, New York at 15! Our first mother-daughter trip was to London and Paris when I was 18, and we haven’t stopped travelling together since! The roles and responsibilities on our trips have shifted over the years… I am now in charge of booking our flights and hotels, ordering the ubers, downloading the tickets, and being the gps to whatever historical tour, art gallery, museum, or store we are going to, while she picks the restaurants, takes the photos and provides the travel points!!
Together we have visited 21 cities in 7 countries on 3 continents and we have no plans to stop anytime soon! With that much travel we have so much to share: city guides, restaurant recs, must-do experiences, the can’t-miss museums and art galleries… you’ll find everything from bonjour to bon voyage here on our blog!

My love of hosting, cooking and throwing parties started in 1982 when I found and flipped through a cookbook on my mom’s (Claudia’s Oma!) kitchen shelf entitled Entertaining by the one and only Martha Stewart! Since then I have been obsessed with planning the perfect party, and over the years have put on countless dinners, birthdays, backyard bbqs, showers, engagements, and holiday get togethers in this type-A pursuit!
Now, Claudia and I host parties for our family & friends as a team, and balloon walls, custom made games, and the most aesthetic charcuterie boards are all things we love to incorporate into our soirées. We can’t wait to virtually invite you to our next one!
P.S… if you love a coloured cocktail you’re in the right place!
